Information on Admission to K1 Classes in the 2024-2025 School Year

Payment Method: Online PayPal payment using VISA/MASTERCARD/AMERICAN EXPRESS.

Please note that application fee is non-refundable once payment is through.

Remarks: Arrangement for admission application of non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Children:

1. When interviewing NCS children, interpretation and / or translation service for applicants will be provided where necessary; or parents and children are allowed to be accompanied by a Chinese speaking relative / friend to facilitate communication.

Nanny Bus Service:

• Our school does not provide nanny bus service.

• Every year in August, information regarding nanny bus service will be provided to our current students and prospective students. This information includes nanny bus providers that have been serving our school, contact details and price list.

• Please note that our school acts as a medium in referring nanny bus service. The nanny bus provider is in charge of the bus routes and stops. Before school starts, parents are advised to have made arrangements in sending and picking up your child to and from school on time. 

• Our school has a “Nanny Bus Committee”. The committee holds meetings every term to regulate and review the quality and service of nanny bus service.  

Application for the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission”:

1. From 2017-18, the Education Bureau has implemented the “Free Quality Kindergarten Education Scheme” (hereafter referred to as “Scheme”).  Each child who is eligible to study in Hong Kong will be issued a registration document. Kindergartens under the “Scheme” can only admit child/children holding a valid registration document.
2. Parents are required to apply to EDB for a “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (hereafter referred as “RC”) for their child(ren) from September to November 2023. Applications for “RC” will start in September of this year. Please access this link https://eform.one.gov.hk/form/edb005/en/ to register “RC”.
3. Upon receipt of the application with all necessary information and documents provided, EDB will generally take six to eight weeks to complete processing of the application and issue the RC to applicants who are eligible for receiving subsidy under the “Scheme” by post. If a child cannot obtain an RC as he/she can receive education in Hong Kong but is not eligible for receiving subsidy under the Scheme, EDB will then issue an AP to the child concerned for registration and admission to a Scheme-KG but the parents concerned are required to pay full school fees before deduction of subsidy under the “Scheme” as shown on the Fees Certificate of the KG to which the child is admitted.
   1. Upon obtaining permission from the Director of Immigration, non-local children (such as children holding a form of recognizance, children whose parent(s) is/are holding a student visa, etc.) can receive education in Hong Kong but they are not eligible for subsidy under the Scheme.

Points to Note Regarding the Use of RC

The maximum validity period of the RC is three years. The RC is valid for 3 use only within its validity Period and will expire afterwards. Subsidies will not be disbursed to a KG in respect of a student whose RC has already expired. If you arrange for your child to repeat his / her study in certain level due to personal consideration (e.g. individual conditions of the children, family factors, changing school, etc.) so that the KG education required is more than 3years, then you would have to pay the school fee before deduction of government subsidy. Application for extension of validity of the RC will only be considered under very special circumstances and on a case-by-case basis, for example, the child has been identified with special needs. For such application, the applicant must provide strong and solid proof, for example, an assessment report issued by the relevant registered medical practitioner or professional (e.g. pediatrician, psychiatrist, educational psychologist, clinical psychologist, etc.) showing that the children have to pursue KG education for a period longer than the normal three years, for the Government’s consideration. If the student’s original RC (the validity period is 3 years) expires and parents decide to arrange their child to receive KG education for more than 3 years at their own expenses, parents should apply to the EDB for “KG Admission Pass” (hereafter referred to as “AP”) so that the child concerned can continue to study in a Scheme-KG for the school year extended. Parents should apply for AP for the extended school year for the child before his / her RC expires in due course.

Registration Arrangements:

1. Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child from January 4th - 6th, 2024  (“Centralised Registration Dates”) by submitting the original of the “RC”/ “AP” to our kindergarten and paying the registration fee.
2. Applicants on the waiting list: Notified via email, parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the original of the “RC” / “AP” to our kindergarten and pay the registration fee.
3. Please be reminded that if parents cannot submit the “RC” / “AP” during registration, our kindergarten may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents must submit application for the “RC” or other valid registration documents to the EDB within the specified period.
4. The registration fee for 2024/25 K1 is HKD $970. If students are enrolled to our kindergarten, registration fee will be refunded in September. Please notify us in writing, should parents decide to change school after registration. Please note that our school will return the “RC” / “AP” but the registration fee will not be refunded. Upon obtaining the “RC” / “AP”, we will no longer keep the school place for your child/children.
